Most often, there is no pain after implantation. After installing an implant, on the same day and the days after, in 99% of cases there is no pain, and the feeling that patients have is little discomfort, and on the scale of pain intensity from 1 to 10, that feeling is usually evaluated as 2. This level of discomfort does not even require a pain pill although, for more extensive procedures, for more comfortable rest we recommend one pain pill, what a patient would normally take for a moderate headache.
Very rarely – in conditions where the bone in which the implant is inserted is poorly supplied with blood vessels, i.e. “dry” or if there was a chronic infection at the place where the implant is inserted – after 3-4 days, a stronger pain may occur, which indicates that something is not right, which requires additional control and assessment by the doctor, which should be done in order to overcome that condition as soon as possible.
