When for some reason the nerve of the tooth needs to be removed, we say that endodontic treatment needs to be done.
Most often, the tooth is already “dead”, so this procedure is painless and does not require anesthesia. But when, in some diagnoses, parts of the nerve are still sensitive, the procedure is performed with local anesthesia and is painless. The canals of the root of the tooth should be mechanically and chemically cleaned and disinfected, and then precisely (to a fraction of a millimeter), filled with a permanent endodontic filling.
At VEGA, for endodontic treatment of teeth, we use several modern work systems, which include equipment specialized for that purpose. With it, we measure the length of the root canals with extraordinary precision (within a fraction of a millimeter). We disinfect them and enable successful treatment and smooth functioning of “dead” teeth. During the treatment, in order to achieve the highest possible precision, we also use digital X-rays, as well as special magnifiers for the most precise operation. We use a cofferdam system for drying the work area.

After the endodontic treatment, mild or moderate sensitivity is expected, which disappears after a day or two.
